Shower Chair & Commode Cleaning in the Inland Empire

TLC WASH cleans and disinfects shower chairs, transfer benches, and bedside commodes at your home across the Inland Empire. This is the least pleasant equipment in the house to deal with, it is the equipment where hygiene matters most, and it is the one most families put off.

Why a shower chair or commode needs more than a wipe-down

A shower chair never fully dries. Constant moisture in the frame joints and under the seat is exactly the condition biofilm needs, and biofilm is slippery — on a chair whose entire job is keeping someone from falling.

Inland Empire water is hard. Scale builds into a chalky film on aluminum tubing and around the seat drain holes, and ordinary bathroom cleaner does not touch it once it has set.

Commode odor is not on the surface. It gets into the seat, the hinge, and the frame joints, which is why the smell comes back a day after cleaning.

How We Clean Shower Chairs & Commodes

The same disciplined process every time. No shortcuts.

1

Full breakdown and wash

Seat, backrest, armrests, and legs get separated where the design allows and hand-washed individually, so the joints and undersides actually get reached instead of getting wiped around.

2

Scale and biofilm removal

Hard-water scale on the tubing and around the drain holes gets treated and taken back to bare surface. Any slick film in the joints and under the seat is scrubbed out, not just wiped over.

3

Disinfection

Once it's genuinely clean, the whole unit gets disinfected — seat, frame, armrests, and every contact point. Disinfectant on a dirty surface does very little, which is why this step comes last and not first.

4

Deodorize and reassemble

Steam pulls the odor out of the seat and hinge rather than covering it. We reassemble, confirm the height pins and legs lock properly, and check that the non-slip feet still grip.

Shower Chairs & Commodes Cleaning FAQs

The things clients ask before booking.

Do you clean bedside commodes?
Yes. We ask that the waste pail is emptied and rinsed before we arrive; from there the frame, seat, lid, hinge, and armrests get a full clean, disinfect, and deodorize.
My shower chair feels slippery even after I clean it. Why?
That's almost always biofilm — a thin bacterial layer that constant moisture builds up in the joints and under the seat. It's slick by nature and household spray tends to slide over it rather than remove it. It has to be physically scrubbed out, which is what we do.
Can you get hard-water buildup off the frame?
Yes. Inland Empire water leaves a chalky scale on aluminum tubing that ordinary bathroom cleaner won't lift once it's set. We treat it and take the tubing back to a clean surface.
